About

The Short & Sweet

  • Who. Soul-searching nomads planning for a rejuvenating getaway.

  • What. Located in New Zealand’s exclusive wilderness by the banks of Lake Wakatipu, Aro-ha has tonnes to offer soul-searchers and city folks seeking a serene getaway far from the buzz. The brainchild of Chris Madison and Damian Chaparro, Aro-ha is a bootcamp-slash-wellness retreat that promises to revitalise guests thanks to their menu of different programmes. The entire facility is eco-friendly with sustainable building management, with the entire facility running on solar and hydro power, embodying an eco-friendly spirit in its décor and design. The 8 accommodation units on-site are designed with the simple idea of Zen luxury in mind and adorned with plenty of natural light and clean spaces to emphasize tranquility. Privacy and seclusion are essential, as this retreat only takes in limited number of guests at a time. You’ll have plenty to engage the body, mind and soul throughout your time here, thanks to yoga, alpine hiking, kayaking, cooking classes and even horticulture lessons!

  • Why. Natural recycled products and organic toiletries are provided. Great instructors and hospitality on-site.
