Villa Melissa

Approached via a grand colonnaded walkway with a soaring thatched roof, Villa Melissa has five bedrooms, three of which have sea views. Halfway along the covered walkway are two of the bedrooms, one twin and one queen, positioned on each side in accordance with the architectural symmetry.

Each of these bedrooms has French windows that open onto semi-private gardens with fishponds. The walkway then leads into the main pavilion with the living room and dining room spilling out onto the pool area. A double stairway, centred around long steel columns with twisting spokes to support the bannisters, takes you up to a mezzanine and the ocean-facing bedrooms, each with its own balcony with unrivalled views over the waves. Each of the five bedrooms is equipped with a TV and sound system. All have dressing areas, balconies or terraces, and gorgeous ensuite bathrooms, fitted with twin washbasins, walk-in rainshowers and bathtubs-for-two. The pièce de résistance is the master bathroom, where a sunken bathtub appears to float upon a water garden under a grass roof.

The air-conditioned living room is characterised by a timber floor and soft lighting. It features two sitting areas furnished with sofas, chairs and coffee tables, and is equipped with a TV and sound system. The dining room is positioned to one side and offers the choice of semi-alfresco dining or air-conditioned comfort.

A horseshoe-shaped service bar links the dining room to the professional kitchen. Upstairs the timber-floored mezzanine presents an ambient spot to chill out under a soaring roof, accompanied by mesmerising views and the sound of the sea. The villa showcases a mix of modern furnishings and Dutch-colonial antiques.

The front of the villa showcases four, massive 12-metre-high, wooden columns with long retractable screens to shade the sun from the inside of the house. Here the roar of the surf comes to the fore with a sea breeze to match. The garden is dominated by a 20 x 6-metre infinity-edge, T-shaped swimming pool surrounded by a stone deck. The lawn then rolls down to the beach with a relaxation balé on one side and a dining pavilion on the other, complete with a table for ten and more incredible ocean views.

• Floors: Villa Melissa spreads across two levels with five bedrooms. If more rooms are needed, guests can book 5 rooms in Villa Ambra and 5 rooms in Villa Mary.

  • Second Floor: Two ensuite bedrooms.

• Living Areas: Indoor open-plan living area with surround sound system. Outdoor lounge area poolside with lots of seating area. Bale lounge and outdoor dining area with beach and ocean views. Beachfront bale can be a haven for private massage.

• Pool: Measuring 20m x 6m x 2m depth and the kid's pool measures 10m x 3m x 1.4m ; No shallow end on the main pool; The pool is set to normal temperature; There are ten lounge chairs and four pool umbrellas; Pool towels are provided.

• Dining: Private Chef is experienced in Western, Chinese, Asian, Vegetarian and children's dishes. Special requests can be accommodated (including special diets). All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, floating breakfast) can be arranged in advance.

• Kitchen: Equipped with Refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, mini bar, wine fridge, rice cooker, stove, water dispenser and BBQ.

• Dining Areas: Air-conditioned indoor dining area with rectangle dining table that can seat 12 persons and an outdoor dining area for 8 guests.

• Wellness: Shared facilities at Pantai Lima Estate include a tennis court with night-lighting (4 tennis rackets are available to be shared among the 5 villas and each villa has its own tennis balls tube). Massage, spa services and yoga sessions available upon request (extra charge).

• Entertainment: Smart TV with access to Netflix and sound system in each of the 5 bedrooms and at the living room.

• Other facilities: The villa has safety features such as fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and universal adapter. Wake up call service available upon request.

• Parking: Sufficient parking space available for two cars.

• Year built / refurbished: Built in 2007 and renovated in 2024.

Weddings & Events

• Maximum number of guests: Small Events: 30 guests (maximum seating capacity) or 40 guests (maximum standing capacity). Large Events: 80 guests (maximum seating capacity) or 100 guests (maximum standing capacity), at least 3 Villas at Pantai Lima Estate must be booked (including Villa Mary).
• Minimum Nights: 3 Nights (Normal and Shoulder Seasons); 4 Nights (High Season). Peak Season events are subject to approval. Note: For Normal/Shoulder Season, 2 nights stay may be allowed if the stay is adjacent to an existing booking. Approved event organizer must be appointed.
• Event fees: USD 1,500++ (for small events of up to 40 standing guests) and IDR 6,000,000 for local community banjar fee; USD 2,500++ (for large events of up to 100 standing guests) and IDR 6,000,000 for local community banjar fee (at least 3 villas at Pantai Lima Estate must be booked, including Villa Mary). Option to host pre/post events (small gatherings of up to 30 guests held before/after the main event) is available at USD 300++ and IDR 2,500,000 for local community banjar fee.
• Public events with ticket sales are not allowed at any time.
• A security deposit of USD 1,500 (small events) or USD 2,000 (large events) is required upon arrival. This is used to cover cost of service or replacement in case of damage or breakage to the property during the event (pre and after) takes place. This amount is 100% refundable if there are no damages to the property. You may choose one of two options, to be provided upon arrival at the villa in cash or to provide your credit card details to us so that we may hold the security deposit on your behalf.
• Guest must prearrange their own transport as there will may be no access to taxis or public transportation.
• No floating stage or pool deck available at the villa.
• Fireworks, paper candle lanterns or Thai wishing lanterns are not permitted.
• Music curfew (sound system, DJ or live music) is allowed until 11 pm only. A maximum of 2,000 watt (small events) or 5,000 watt (large events). Only in-house speaker allowed for pre/post events.
• Villa Melissa is one of the five luxury villas of Pantai Lima Estate that can host large events and accommodates up to 80 guests, with the capacity of 54 guests staying together in all the villas. Further information can be provided upon request.

Child Policy & Extra Bedding

• Children under 4 years old can stay for free when sharing existing bedding with parents. Extra bed is available at USD 45 per person per night. Only two (2) additional beds can be arranged for this property.
• Rates quoted refer to the maximum occupancy of the villa, as shown in the provided publication and invoice. The number of persons (adults and children) staying at the property must not exceed the maximum number of sleeping places indicated in the booking confirmation and reservation voucher, unless specifically authorised in writing. Exceeding the number may invalidate any insurance policy on the property. Entry or access to the property may be refused or limited where the number of guests exceeds the stated requirement.

Nyepi Religious Day

• Please be informed that Bali island celebrates Nyepi (Silent) Day each year on the dates below. Nyepi Day is a day of absolute silence throughout the island and it is observed from 6 AM until 6 AM the next morning. No outdoor activities are allowed and there will be no check-in and check-out from properties on 29 March 2025 and 19 March 2026.
