About

The Short & Sweet

  • Who. This home is perfectly suited for couples, families, or groups of 4 to 6 guests looking for a luxurious self-catered accommodation in the East Village.

  • What. As befits a home in the East Village, East 11th Street is no stranger to bold design. You'll enter into the garden level, with the kitchen on your right and a flight of stairs on the left. Here, glossy black countertops stand out against the white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. Past the kitchen, a dining table is set with four metal chairs, and the sitting room is just beyond. A comfy sofa (which pulls out into a double bed) and a pair of upholstered armchairs sit atop a black and white geometric rug, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead out to the shared garden space. Upstairs, you'll find the bedrooms – one on each end of the hallway. The master bedroom has an ensuite, a strikingly patterned rug and a king-size bed with a tufted grey headboard. The second bedroom has a double bed, a writing desk, and another (equally eye-catching) rug.

  • Why. The East Village is set among many of Manhattan’s most famous neighborhoods, and as such it provides the perfect base to explore Manhattan from. When you decide to stay in the East Village during a visit to Manhattan, you’ll never want for things to see or do: the neighborhood offers some of the best in dining, shopping & nightlife!

What We Love

  • Explore. St. Mark's Place (East 8th Street), one of the neighborhood's most famous streets, is lined with bars, restaurants and shops and a popular strip for tourists to visit.

  • Eat. Head to 7th Street between First and A: sandwiches at Porchetta, lobster rolls at Luke's Lobster, arepas at Caracas Arepa Bar, and delicious Greek fare at Pylos. 7A's always open, Banjara holds it down in Little India, and if you still have room, check out Puddin' for--take a wild guess.

  • Shop. Browse vintage oddities at Obscura Antiques, used tomes at Mast Books, and jewelry at The Shape of Lies. Cute boutiques? 9th Street between First and Second. Late-night bodega taco fix? Zaragoza.
