Villa Puro Blanco

During our stay in June 2023, we enjoyed a 4-day, 3-night experience at a villa that offered both positive and negative aspects. The villa had four spacious bedrooms, including one king-size bed and one queen-size bed, providing ample space for relaxation. Due to the steep stairs leading to the second floor, we opted to sleep downstairs for easier access to the pool and dining area. To accommodate our needs, we utilized the bed in the massage queen size in each room for two additional children, although it was firmer than expected. Each room featured two showering areas, one indoor and one outdoor, but we found the separate outdoor toilet to be inconvenient. The 5th room has a king size bed with indoor toilet. Total 5 rooms. Another concern was the safety issue posed by a step in the bed design. Regrettably, the shower areas lacked practicality, with no designated space for shampoo and body soap, and a lack of hooks for hanging clothes or towels. Additionally, the smooth floor became dangerously slippery when wet from the pool, raising concerns, especially for older and younger guests. In terms of transportation, we discovered that arranging our own driver coordinator was preferable to relying on the villa's designated driver, who seemed unfamiliar with the area. This allowed us to ensure efficient transportation for our group and avoid any potential confusion or delays. On a positive note, we were impressed by the warm hospitality of the guest service team and local butlers, who greeted us with kindness. Their thoughtful gesture of sending a bottle of wine on our last night added a delightful touch to our overall experience. However, it's worth noting that the visuals presented on the website exceeded the actual condition of the villa upon arrival. The villa's aging state could benefit from renovations or updates to match the initial impression. Regarding the pool, it received daily maintenance with prompt removal of leaves and flowers. However, it's important to manage expectations, as the pool may not meet the same cleanliness standards as a hotel pool. Furthermore, the villa did not provide on-site gym facilities. Air conditioning was limited to the bedrooms, and while the units appeared relatively new, they took some time to cool down the spacious areas due to the villa's size. To address mosquito concerns, the butler took proactive measures by lighting anti-mosquito essence repellents throughout the entire house, enhancing our comfort during the stay. When it came to massages, it was crucial to monitor the start time, as the massage team occasionally shortened the duration by 10 to 15 minutes. Given the villa's remote location, opting for in-house massages proved more convenient than venturing out. Furthermore, the villa offered the advantage of a freelance chef who was invited to cater to guests' culinary needs. However, it's important to note that there were separate charges for the chef's services and for handling the necessary groceries. Overall, our experience at the villa had its ups and downs. While there were areas that required improvement, such as the safety concerns with the bed, inadequate shower amenities, and the slippery floor, we appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff, the daily pool maintenance, and the availability of a freelance chef. Adjusting expectations upon arrival, considering the aging condition of the villa, is recommended.

My family and I are grateful that we were able to stay at Villa Puro Blanco! We loved its chic all white look, central location - near cafes and restaurants in Canggu, and its great price! I loved that you really have privacy at the villa and that some of its rooms have luxe bathtubs in addition to our own private pool - we were able to really relax and enjoy our vacation! The villa also has a well-equipped kitchen and open living area by the pool where my family and I stayed most of the time. Host and villa staff were also very helpful and accommodating from booking until check out - they helped us arrange our transfers and day tour. Overall our stay at Villa Puro Blanco was one for the books! We will definitely stay here again soon!

The villa that only look amazing on pictures.... 1. The pool area is ok 2. The living area are nothing but ok 3. We cannot sit in the living area for diner or a drink beacause of all the mosquitos. They literally eat you up 4. The “kitchen” was just discussing, kind of place where you don’t even want to send your worst enemy. 5. Bathroom, couldn’t use the outside one beacause of all mosquitoes. The inside I hade to use it cause I had to. We had a stop in one the rooms and we end up using all the same shower. 6. Room design old fashion, old and dirty curtains, old towels with holes. All the old furnitures and bedsheets was not longer white but grey/beige 7. The staff was constantly there hiding themselves in the kitchen. We ask to leave earlier but they said no. The youngest one and the security guy was the only in he staff that we could communicate with. 8. We didn’t feel that we rent a private villa cause the main door was always open with constantly peoples standing there and talking. 9. This villa owner should stop making money of people and take care of their villa. 10. My family and I didn’t enjoy the Villa the way we dreamed about. This was the third villa we rent in Bali since we arrived for this summer beacause of the recommendation of the angency.... big disappointment.

The bedsheets are yellow, the curtain hasn’t been cleaned for ages. All the sofas are dirty. The photos they are using is totally different than the real place. They need to retake the photos to show the real condition of the villa. I was asking for early check in, but the staff didn’t respond after their phone call. We ended up cancel the reservation, and they won’t refund our payment at the first place, but the thing has changed since we called Airbnb after we report the case. Turns out we only got almost 50% from total payment, but we are not in position to bargain, so we have to accept it. Its located in a very small alley, and the park is full motorcycles. We have to drive the car backwards in quite a long alley if we want to go out. Its located around the fields, so there’s a lot of mosquitos and they have to put mosquitos repellent everywhere, and it smokes all over the place, not safe for a child. They are not maintain the Villa, and the 2 of the AC units were broken, and the other 2 is too small for its room size. Even the staff was admitted that way. Only 1 AC is working fine, which in the smallest room. So I have to be honest, the villa is cost way too expensive. We lost our holiday because of these problems, all of my in laws came all the way from Sumbawa for nothing. We are truly dissapointed.

The place is a bit tricky to find as there is no signboard, but the instructions on the airbnb are very clear, so stick to that and you will find the way. The place is spacious and airy with a pool and friendly host and staff. The location is good - less than five minutes to the beach. On the other way out, there is also a supermarket and some eating places. I'd recommend Paris Baguette, freshly baked. This area is not very touristy but very residential, so if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy some zone-out time, this place is highly recommended.
